cancer childhood video

Heavy subject lighter with animation

Motion to light childhood cancer while informing in an effective way those who care about their relatives

About the project

Literacy in healthcare has been a hot topic on social media. To address this issue, some healthcare organizations have started creating relevant content related to social media posts.

Childhood Cancer Day was approaching, and to signal this, I was asked to elaborate on an informational post about the theme. Because cancer is a special theme for me, I became automatically excited and committed to this work.

Talking about such a delicate subject is always difficult, but I saw that motion graphics could be a facilitator. After completing the information and optimizing it, I started to look for inspiration for the best approach.

Child things as a visual base

Children have in everything they do lightness and simplicity. Nothing better than this to be the base for starting a motion design inspiration.

The way to achieve the visual light that I pretended was by choosing images that transmit serenity and hope. The implementing animations should be aligned with those concepts: soft and have a touch of childishness.

The final compilation

The final animated video was well-received on social media and by the target audience, which is a good reward for me.

The topics were statistics, types of cancers, and differentiation features.
